raging-who: Granny Peggy Rosenthal I'm a 63 year old grandmother. My career has been in writing, teaching literature and giving workshops on meditation with poetry. In October 2001, when our government's response to the horror of 9/11 was to unleash violence in return, dropping bombs on ordinary families in Afghanistan, I was filled with rage. I couldn't bear the thought that other people's grandkids in another part of the world would be killed by my country's bombs. All children everywhere are my grandchildren; that is how I see them. And all people everywhere are my family in God; that's the core of my faith. Some of us are motivated by religious faith, some are not. That doesn't matter. We are all women elders who are outraged by all injustice and who are called to speak out - to sing out - against it.
